New Year!

You know, as much as I like a party like the next person, Ive never been a fan of New Years. This year was different.

Before I went out, Bradman and I went and got our hair cut. I got mine completely chopped off. I love it and it's so lovely and cool. Just need to buy more flowers and accessories and fidget more with styles. (the shadow on my face is my mobile phone shadow)

Mat had Bradman for the evening as I met some amazing women who all read my weight loss blog (they are doing fantastic jobs themselves). We ate at an utterly beautiful sidewalk place in the main street of Bendigo (I took mum to it earlier in the week for cake and a drink) and then the waiter told us there was an exclusive party upstairs. $95/head we declined. The waiter then said that because we were eating already we could still go, but we'd have to purchase drinks from the bar.

Nuff said. We sauntered up there and it was DEEEEE Vine! Plush lounges, cushions, a great DJ and only about 50 people in the huge room which lead out onto a balcony overlooking the city. Everyone up there were dressed to the nines and all looked swish-o.

(from left, Aileen, myself, Brooke and Phillipa)

We got prime position on the balcony and witnessed the street parade and fireworks and a lightning show from mother nature. I cant tell you how beautiful it was.

The whole night was wonderful. We werent in a smoky, revolting pub with no airconditioning and saying "Excuse me, Excuse me" as you squish through the crowd. I also didnt have to wait for a taxi. I had only a few wines over the 7 hours we were out and drove home sober. Thank god, I wouldnt have wanted to crash tackle someone just so I could get a taxi... Wouldnt have been pretty.
The service was fast and wonderful, the company was lovely and the night was really stress free. Just the way I like it.
So, Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year brings about happiness, peace and stacks of laughter.

Love the new hair style Beck. Sounds like a lovely place to be for a New Year's Eve Party. Here to a wonderful year.

You seem like you had fun! I am still getting used to your hair! What made you decide to cut it off?

The weather.

Plus, I always seemed to be wearing it in a piggy tail.

and I've always wanted to try it... but never had the guts.

I love it. I feel 15 again
